Foster placements
Priory Fostering Services is a specialist provider of long-term, short-term and respite placements for 'looked after children'. We specialise in adolescent placements for young people with challenging behaviours, sibling groups, special needs, unaccompanied asylum seeking children and mother and baby placements.
Our approach to foster care for children and young people puts the young person's interests at the centre of everything we do to promote their social, emotional and educational development. We provide foster placements in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, the West Midlands and the South West and are a preferred supplier for over 30 local authorities.
Our aim is to provide stability so that the children and young people in our care can achieve their full potential and are able to successfully manage the challenges that adulthood may bring.
Our foster children and young people are aged from 0 to 18 years, many of whom have emotional and behavioural difficulties which can place great demands on those caring for them.
We provide:
- A wide range of foster placements specialising in children who display challenging behaviours and complex needs
- Comprehensive competency based Form F assessments. Most social workers will assess your suitability to be a foster carer using a document often referred to as the "Form F".
- High levels of support and training for our foster families
- Regular supervision for foster carers incorporating Every Child Matters (ECM) criteria
- Psychology services for carers and children
- Support workers for children
- A generous holiday allowance and respite provision for our young people and carers
- Summer activity programmes for foster and birth children
- Full-time mainstream or specialist education
