Priory Pines House is a specialist service providing education, care, therapy and treatment for boys and girls aged 7 to 19 who have complex learning requirements, sexually inappropriate behaviour and associated psychological difficulties.
The recently refurbished development is part of Priory’s specialist education and acute service and has been specifically designed to accommodate young people with complex needs in order to provide an integrated therapeutic, care and education service with an on-site school.
The therapeutic environment of Pines House enables young people to receive tailored therapy, care and education programmes within a highly specialised and supportive environment. Priory Pines House provides an integrated combination of therapies as part of the individual treatment programmes available.
Young people will have a range of complex needs, behaviours and educational abilities therefore individual programmes are designed to ensure that young people are able to develop a broad range of academic and social skills to enable them to participate within society and develop the psychological independence to move into adulthood.
Priory Pines House can provide residential places for up to 8 young people aged 7 to 19 and a further 8 places for young people aged 7 to 19 within our day education provision. Placements are flexible and for up to 52 weeks of the year. Although it is not an admission requirement it is expected that most of the young people referred to the school will have a Statement of Special Educational Need or a specific health requirement which means that mainstream school is not appropriate for them.
