Eastwood Grange Overview

Eastwood Grange was founded in 1990 as both a Residential School and Children’s Home and was acquired by Priory Group in 2003. We have grown at a steady pace, establishing a strong reputation for providing high quality Education and Care.

We provide Local Education Authorities and Social Services Departments with a flexible service, offering Care and Education for up to 34 boys aged 11 – 16 years who exhibit a variety of behavioural, emotional and social difficulties.

Our young people enjoy a warm, welcoming and relaxed, yet structured environment, which encourages them to develop social, educational and practical skills and enjoy an active and fulfilling life in beautiful surroundings.

Eastwood Grange enables young people to:

• Help to understand their problems and implement ways of alleviating them.
• Learn how to manage their behaviour with self-discipline and clear boundaries.
• Develop independence skills within a safe, secure and structured environment.
• Become empowered to make their own choices, which will lead to a positive future.

Each and every member of the Eastwood Grange staff team is passionate about the quality of service we provide, which is evidenced in our Ofsted inspection reports. We are proud that Ofsted has identified Eastwood Grange as an Outstanding Provider for Care and has continually done so since 2007.

The evaluation made by Ofsted from the Education inspection, which took place in June 2009, stated that ‘Eastwood Grange provides a good quality of education and meets all its aims well…’.

We are pleased to advise that Phase III of our physical development programme has recently been completed by our local builder; Phil Cole Building Services, who have completed our previous two physical development phases. This now gives our Education facility a further three classrooms. This now gives us specialist classrooms for: Science, Information Communication Technology, Library, Craft Design Technology, Food Technology and Art. We have a dedicated base for each of the following subject areas: Mathematics, English and Humanities. We also have a Sports Hall laid with Astroturf and a fully equipped gymnasium.

The boys and staff at Eastwood Grange enjoy being involved with local community events and are more than willing to participate in the May Day Carnival and the Harvest Festival; putting all proceeds made from the May Day Carnival Tombola Stall back into the community.
